Backed by over $900 million in funding, this major health project is already underway and will bring life-saving care closer to home for thousands of residents.

World-Class Healthcare, Close to Home

Melton Hospital is designed to deliver essential services where they’re needed most. The facility will include:

• A 24-hour emergency department
• At least 274 inpatient beds
• Maternity and neonatal care
• Mental health support
• Radiology and outpatient services

The hospital will treat up to 130,000 patients annually, including 60,000 emergency cases, reducing wait times and improving health outcomes for the entire region.

Victoria’s First All-Electric Hospital

Melton Hospital will be the first all-electric hospital in Victoria, powered entirely by clean energy. This forward-thinking design supports environmental sustainability while ensuring modern healthcare delivery.
The facility will also house a new training centre for doctors, nurses, and medical students, helping to build a strong, skilled local healthcare workforce.
